Hey guys! as title says this is my first build nd i think ive come up with an excelent set up for what i can afford but need some help deciding on a mobo. for example, have found a Asus P8Z68-V LX (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005FSHIVG/ref=ox_sc...) nd it sounds excelent however i was wondering if should go cheaper as am probably not going to crossfire or overclock in the near future (but may upgrade to i5 or ivy bridge or summit later on, but that wont be at least for a year or 2) but i do like the sound of lucidlogix but wont stump up for ssd cacheing. so i found this Asus P8H61-M LE (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-P8H61-M-LE-USB3-Motherboar...) which is h61 so without some features like dual PCIexpressx16 slots and 7.1 audio but not sure if i would even use them anyway and am wonderin if it will give me the same proformance for £20 cheaper (pennys matter to me at this point xD) or if u get what u pay for.

In short i want the cheapest MoBo that will give me good proformance and last me a while with this set up :)

CPU: Sandybridge Intel i3 2010 3.3GHz
GPU: Asus Radeon HD 6850
RAM: G Skill Ripjaws 4GB DDR3 (want at leat 8GB eventually)
PSU: CX430V2
Case: CiT Vantage Type-R Computer Gaming Case - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0064LFTR8/ref=ox_sc... (Not afraid to cheap out on a case if can get better internals :) )

Will mainly be used for gaming, web surfing homework ect. nd wont spend much over £300 for the lot (parts already listed add up to about £255 so u can tell how tight i am but will pay a little more for long term quality :) )

Thanks in advance guys!! :)

Do you have an HDD, OS, keyboard mouse and screen? and you're only looking for these 5 parts?

ASUS are the better Motherboard brand as Asrock is the budget arm of ASUS that was spun off a while ago but in terms of features and price they do very well.

I'd certainly go for an H61 board if you're not too bothered about overclocking, i don't know how you've got the parts you've listed for so cheap as both the CPU and GPU are about £100 each.

For £304.25 i managed to come up with this (P&P and VAT included):
All from https://www.aria.co.uk/

Intel Pentium G840 £55
Gigabyte GA-H61MA-D3V GEN3 £47
4GB Mushkin Silverline DDR3 1333MHz 9-9-9-24 £21
Asus HD 6850 DirectCU V2 £96
450W XFX Core Edition £47
BitFenix Merc Alpha £29

yeah, thought so so what about:

CPU: Intel i3 Sandybridge 2010 3.3GHz - £96.68
MoBo: Asus P8H61-M LE/USB3 - £52.32
GPU: Asus 1GB Radeon HD 6850 - £102.44
RAM: G Skill Ripjaws F3-10666CL9S-4GB DDR3 - £16.82
PSU: Corsair, can get cheap for about £20 but wont link xD
Case: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dominator-Black-PC-Computer-M... £28 but too small as midi?
Total = £316.26

Got HDD, OS, Keyboard, Mouse ect. Not bad? :)

Midi is fine, just slightly smaller than full tower. Don't like the top mounted PSU design but otherwise looks good.
