What would be the best graphics card for any game (BF3 or Minecraft being good examples) that costs less than $150 and can run games at 1680x1050 and higher? I've seen the price of a GTX 590 and I cant afford to sink $700+ ( :ouch: ) into a GPU. I dont care the brand (AMD or NVIDIA). The rest of my rig:
AMD FX 1820
Stock CPU cooler
Gigabyte 990fxa-UD34
750w PSU
4gigs RAM
1TB HDD
40GB SSD
Rosewill Thor V2

You can find 6870 for $140 AR all the time on newegg, just wait untill one of those deals comes around. I'd also check craigslist and see if there is anything localy. I just got gtx 470 for $80!!! And, yes there is nothing wrong with it.

Radeon HD 6850 without a doubt the best card price/performance wise on the market and when overclocked I will not say what it performs like I will just show you the facts links provided because it will start a flam war. http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/msi_r6850_cyclone/7.htm

6870 ...easily trumps the 6850 and is the has the lowest cot per frame at ($0.39) of any card over $140 ... the 6850 costs a bot more at $0.42 per frame......

when paired up in CF, the two have an identical $0.50 per frame....just under the 900 MHz 560 Ti which is $0.50 per frame tho it outscores the 6870 862 fps in Guru3D's game test suite to 701 fps for the 6870

can be had for $140
