Hey all I'm building a new comp from the ground up, and while I know the basics about hardware it's a sliver of the knowledge the community here has. I'm essentially going for a gaming (frames per second) setup, but multi-tasking is a close second. Any feedback is welcome and please let me know if you need more information (of the items listed, price is not an issue):

Even a simple "Checks out ok" would be great. Like I said, I'm looking for some "experienced" opinions on the compatibility and abilities of the system I've listed above. Thanks in advance!

Dump the 2600, go for the 2500K and overclock.

You don't need 32 GB of RAM, 8 GB will be enough for any multitasking needs. If you really want to future proof (and I mean for the next several years) then 16 GB is enough.

With the money saved there, get the 7970 GPU. Or, if you really want to and the MB supports crossfire, take the money saved and get two 7950s and crossfire them.

32 gig of RAM ? WHY?
Just "future-proofing" as phyco126 said. However you both have a good point and it's the reason I posted here. Going to make a RAM adjustment. Also.. should I go for the max 2200 speed the board supports? I just noticed I selected the 1600... And thank you for the PSU suggestion!

Personally, I would stick with 1600 MHz RAM. I've heard that anything higher isn't really noticeable, plus a few other perks such as decent latency times and what not. If I'm wrong, anyone is invited to school me on the subject of faster vs slower RAM.
