What's wrong with my computer?

I just built my first computer. But for whatever reason, it continuously keeps beeping. I have taken the CPU out and applied new thermal paste but when I go to turn it on, it just keeps beeping. I have a GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-S2P motherboard and a AMD Phenom II X6 1045T CPU. If anyone can give me any recommendations on how to get it up and running, that would be great. And also does the absence of a video card effect it. I am still yet to buy a video card. Thanks

refer to ur mobo's manual, they clearly indicate what each type of beeping sound means no, u don't need a video card, u can boot with the built in Graphics

continuous beeping? Check that the cpu fan is in, connected to the motherbd, and working. Did you install memory?

The 8 pin cpu power cable is plugged in right?

Yeah the fan and memory are installed. The fan is spinning and everything.
