New computer built less than 1 week. Started having a strange issue a few minutes ago.

If my comp is off for like 10min or more and i turn it on. It wont even POST.
I have to try booting it up multiple times (Basically warm it up by letting it sit there on a black screen for a min or 2 )
PC Specs:

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit
8GB CORSAIR XMS3 1333MHZ DDR3
750W Corsair TX-2
640GB WD HDD
ASUS P5G41T-M LX PLUS

Anti Virus - ESET Smart Secuirity 5
Malware Protection - Malware Bytes

I can not tell if it was a BSOD because my screen was black. Also note that, at the time the screen was black if i PRESS ANY BUTTON ON THE KEYBOARD the num lock light would glow. When I let go of the button it would not light up

If I wait a few minutes and let it sit on the black screen, then hold the power button down and shut it down then press it again, it will boot up normally. These issues started a few minutes ago.

Well I don't have a GPU...and I am aware that I have a bad ram stick....

But I've been using this comp all week (with BSOD's on cold boots) due to the bad ram stick...

But I haven't had the issue of blank screens until a few minutes ago.

Using a system with a bad stick of RAM is a no-no. You are pretty much letting the OS and files corrupt slowly. When files are stored in RAM then written to the HDD they are getting corrupt.

Pull the bad stick out and try again.

Hopefully Windows is not too messed up to continue.
