Doesnt work like I want

Today I just put together my first computer. I bought a new motherboad and processor but the rest came out of an older computer. Everything works great except the cdrom. The cdrom shows up as a hard drive. How do I get the computer to see it as a cdrom?

if u r using the same cable for your harddrive and the CD/DVD-ROM then the cd/DVD-ROM must be set to slave and the harddrive set to master...
