I highly doubt it can kill a CPU. Even if a CPU overheats, the temp sensors will trigger a thermal shutdown to save the CPU.
If a CPU craps out while priming, it probably was faulty to start with

i have been running prime 95 large fft in nearly 4 hours and temperatures is 60 celsius so it is a stable processor, 3570k with h100 cooler no over clocking

Of course you can damage your cpu and mobo if you overclock then run 95....
