X-Fi Xtremegamer placement on Motherboard

So I am trying to transfer my X-Fi Xtremegamer to my other PC. however it seems like the sound card will cover up my GTX 560TI's fan.
It doesn't fit in the "black" slot (see below picture below)
Is it safe to cover up half of the fan on the GFX card when you put in the sound card?
Also, should I just get a different sound card? I wouldn't even know what slot to put it in..
Any help or advice would be appreciated!

From the picture it looks fine but meh pop it in and check temps, hell if people have a 1mm space between multiple graphics cards I think your in the clear
