Remove psu fan

I currently have the XFX Pro 850W Core Edition power supply, and I noted that the fan in it is quiet loud. Is it worth voiding the warranty to replace the fan with a quiet 12cm fan? I bought the PSu about 0.5- 1 year ago.

The fan noise is common for this unit. All the reviews mention that the fan is noisy once it gets going. The issue with replacing the fan is that you end up with one that can not cool the PSU. Not only will you void the warranty but you may end up with a ruined PSU. It is not just an issue of cfm for the fan but also pressure. Unlike case fans that encounter little resistance to their air flow, the PSU fan must blow through a some what restricted zone.
