Hi everyone. Obvious Noob here. I Just dismantled my AMD fx62 A8n-SLI Deluxe with EVGA 8800 GTS 320 SLI setup,

and got a 2600k with Asus P8Z68 Deluxe Gen 3.

Should I even bother with the SLI of the 8800 GTS 320 setup, or just use one in conjunction with the Z68 setup? And of course save for GTX 560 TI

Use:
Moderate Gaming, Moderate HD Movies and Conversions

Windows 7 Sp1
8GB Corsair 99924
Corsair 650w modular PS

Any advice is appreciated. Links for me to study, even better....

Solution
^ +1 Use the 8800 GTS in SLI if you have two of them. Then save up for the two of the GTX 560 Ti's. Your other up grades are very good. Nvidia some time this year will be coming out with the 6xx series cards. You may want to check those out as well. Good luck to Ya.

Good Point. It's empty space anyway...for now. Do you think there will be any performance gain?

BTW thanks for the quick reply, and pointing out the simple. Sometimes I overthink things.....

YOu do realize that you wasted money buying an expensive motherboard...the basic asus z68- V would have given 100% similar performance...and has crossfire/sli too. The gen3 isn't going to do anything...even with newer cards.

No....but thanks for pointing that out, I feel much better about asking questions when I am unsure of what the answer might be.

I wish you good luck on that. I do know you will like the 560 ti and it will work just fine on your motherboard. I guess my is over kill too.
