Is core 2 duo or i3 good for gaming ??

i'm planning to buy a new processor and i want u r opinion on which is best for gaming intel core 2 duo or i3 i'm also buying a graphics card and which is the best graphics card now........i'm want to play games like assasins creed,crysis,prince of persia forgotten sands help me guys

I3 is modern and better. Best low price card is HD6670!

The Core i3's are overall better performers. As for GPU, it really depends on your budget but since you said you need a card at a low price (plus a higher end card wouldn't pair well with an I3) then my first pick would probably be GTX 560. But if you want something cheaper you could grab an HD 7770 which performs a bit better then a HD 6850. You can an MSI 7770 on Newegg for around $125. While the 560's are up around $180.

When it comes to gaming, the little i3-21xx is amazing. It will out perform many quad cores... for gaming. I matched one to an HD 6870 and was totally amazed at how it performed.

hey guys i asked the sales man in te computer shop today and he said that they had 1 gb graphics card of Rs 3000 (indian rupee) asus......is it good ??

core i3 2100 is better than core 2 duo cpus in terms of gaming performance. it is more modern architecture, has stronger per core performance. imo a core i5 (4 core) would be even better if you're buying a new processor, depending on budget.

if the card is like a radeon 5450/6450 or geforce gt520, then no. 6670 is better for games compared to those cards. if you're getting a gaming gfx card on sale, that's a different story.

can i put two hardisks together guys i have a old 160 gb HDD and buying a new 500 gb HDD can i put them like 660 gb with one OS if i put it together is there smtng wrong if i do that..............
