i'm not going to check cpu sockets vs cpu, required power cables, or any of the things you personally need to check.

in general though the specs look adequate, more so considering your low resolution monitor.

i prefer the black caviar over the blue. not sure if it is available in your size.

no optical drive?
i take it the mb has integrated sound?

what do you mean sockets vs cpu? its an am3+ mobo + cpu im sure...

what do you mean by required power cables?

D:

optical drive im gonna salvage off old pc.

"Realtek ALC889 codec
High Definition Audio
2/4/5.1/7.1-channel
Support for Dolby Home Theater
Support for S/PDIF Out"

i'm a newb at this building thing :/

ie...
socket am3 chip on a socket am3 mb...
ddr3 ram on a board which takes ddr3...

cables...
what main power cable does the mb take? (20+4 pin?) match it.
does your vid card require a 4pin (some take two 4pins)? match it.
what aux power cables for your mb are required? (mine takes two 4pins) match it.
do you have enough molex, hdd power cables?
....etc. you get my drift.

okay so i guess it does have onboard sound. quite a few boards do. i was just checking.

also make sure you have sata cables, fans, thermal paste (i use artic silver), wire organizing supplies (cable clamps, wire loom, etc) as well as all the tools required such as screwdrivers.

a grounding strap is nice to have also but you can just touch the metal case before you pick up any part to prevent esd. dont wear fleece or sweaters either.
