you could get ones with better contrast ratios which would make the games look better.

For the price I've always liked Acer monitors. However I recently moved to a 24 inch LED backlighting ASUS model and it is superior in every way, except for the monitor controls.
So anything that is 5ms response or less is good for gaming. But image quality is superior on LED models and also 120Hz is vastly superior too. But if budget is your main concern, then I think you'll like the Acer.

Would rather get an ASUS if you can afford it but if not in the same price range here are other monitors I would rather buy.
