Frame Rate Issues. Crash Issues. GTX 570 Use to be fine now not.

Well my bf3 likes to crash the first time i run it and than sometimes it crashes after when im in the middle of a game.

Another new annoying issues is that frapes tends to lagg when i start recording it will get a nice 30-40 fps but every 5 seconds it will freeze for 1 second. Same with starcraft 2 fine for 10 seconds will freeze for about a half to a second.

These issues are starting to get really annoying.

What's the brand of your power supply?
How are your temperatures? Run a temperature monitor. EVGA Precision will give you FPS and temperature in an overlay so you don't have to switch out of the game.

As kajabla said, that sounds like a temp problem.

GPU TEMP is 33-37 Right now with mozilla on and evga on. Fan speed 40%.

it was 66-70 Degrees While i was playing Battlefield 3 getting a solid 40-55 FPS. Then it just got crashed again and the screen monitor reset itself and the temperature rapidly dropped to 55 and 30 seconds later its at 37. When the monitor reset the top left corner said DVI. Bf3 Minimizes and cant be reopened so you have to do ctrl alt delete and forcefully close it.

That's the GPU temp, I guess. What about the CPU? This sounds alright, but just making sure.

The GPU usage also read 99%. Man today bf3 was crashing left n right every 5-10 minutes i hate this! I cant find the CPU Temp.

I think i fixed it i went on a bf3 nvidia guide and i had multiple monitors or somthing on and some other tweets and its fine now ill keep ya posted if im wrong.

Eh Bf3 isnt crashing as often now but fraps still sucks. Ever since i got some random virus and i killed it my comp has acted weird with stuff. Like sc2 and some other games Frame lagging every 5-6 seconds for half a second.

Maybe you didn't kill it. Can you perhaps try the build out with a different drive? Do you have another computer with a drive you can swap out? That would probably eliminate the virus factor.

No im pretty sure i killed it i got avast and malware byte to kill it and i ran it again to confirm it was a rouge spyware windows recovery or somthing. But all my program files folders read empty at the startup menu. I'm Defraging my comp right now hope that helps.

i do have a 3tb external hard drive.

Oh i didnt mention my Graphics card is a GTX 570. It should kill anything i throw at it. It definitely did when i first got this comp built with the drivers updated.

Defragging has nothing to do with empty program files. That's a serious problem. Would you be terribly averse to reinstalling Windows?

are you on ultra settings?
i have a gtx 570 and when im on ultra settings it lags and crashes.
put it on ultra but lower the 4xaa to 2xaa
it should work properly and run at 50fps in 1080p.

if thats not the problem then put what you need on your 3tb external hard drive then reinstall windows 7.

just to make sure and i know your not doing this but ust to make sure are you running bf3 off your external hard drive ?
