Hello everyone,

I am custom building a computer for gaming.

I have not settled on a cooling system yet.

some of the parts that I shall be using are:

1. Processor - Intel i7 3770K
2. Motherboard - Asus P8Z77 V Pro
3. GPU - Nvidia GTX 680 (Preferably Asus Built)
4. RAM - Corsair Vengeance (2x8)
5. SMPS - Cooler Master GX 750W OR Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold 800W
6. Cabinet - Cooler master (mid tower)

(My reference thread: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/forum2.php?config=tomshardwareus.inc&cat=31&post=349703&page=1&p=1&sondage=0&owntopic=1&trash=0&trash_post=0&print=0&numreponse=0&quote_only=0&new=0&nojs=0 ) (sorry, for some reason unable to make url's)

I do not intend to overclock at the moment (eventually yes).

So my question is: will the stock cooling be sufficient to run my system or shall I get additional cooling? How much better is liquid cooling than fan cooling?

Thank you for your help :)

stock cooling will be ok if not overclocking

a high end air cooler would be fine and not far off a basic watercooling setup--noctua,phanteks etc

personally i would get a gtx670 rather than gtx680 its nearly as fast and a lot cheaper and easier to find

than the gtx680

and would probably change the psu as well to corsair or seasonic etc--750w on those would be more than

needed--you could run 2 gtx670 on one of them
