More about decent build
  1. It should work. Asus makes some pretty good video cards; same for sapphire. If the 500 watt raidmax ps is too noisy for you, get an antec earthwatts or ocz with 135mm fan, which is what I use.
  2. Noise is not really a problem esspecially since i have a very quiet graphics card. SO you think this could get high/max on 800 by 600 on most games?
  3. At that resolution almost anything could run Crysis at High settings.

For the budget you could do better though, check out my $650.

Drop the 6870 down to the 6770 because it's all you'll need.

The i5 2400 will give you way more performance on the CPU side plus you'll be $10 below your budget by switching to the 6770 and using that promo code that ends today. I'd get the GPU today if anything before the promo ends.
