So many problems with first build :(

i did everything correctly and as it should be but i have a few problems.....

1. POST beeps 3 times and the 3rd one sounds different from the first two

2. some error about boot device... "Reboot and select proper boot device"

3. in bios it says my CPU temp is about 52 degrees C

thats all that ive noticed so far... im so disappointed in myself for not being able to get my first build to work....

Sorry to hear. As for the beeps, they all indicate something. use this website to determine what the beeps are trying to tell u: http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm

btw, is ur beep 2 short beep then 1 long beep?

and yeah, ur cpu is running pretty damn high. mines was 30-32 c only when i was bio flashing and posting.

hi mate, heres my suggestion which you should do. since its your first build i recommend doing these to your computer:

1. Check your jumpers on your mother board. (In the motherboard guide book)
2. For boot device go into your bios and put your hard drive to boot first.
3. and for the last part check your heatsinker your heatsinker may need thermal paste or artic silver. Them two is basicly the same thing.

Well I cleared the CMOS and just put in the windows 7 disc and it's loading up properly only problem I got left is that my CPU is still running at 48C

48C doesn't sound too bad.

i downloaded Core Temp 1.0 RC3

and it says that my temps r pretty normal

idle temps

Core #0 is about 27-30C
Core #1 is about 32-35C

have not tried to stress test it or run any games yet

cpu fan is still a tad bit loud

Those numbers seem perfectly normal.
How about you try running Prime95 and seeing what temperatures peak at?
