Second hand graphic card

I am planning to buy a second hand graphic card,nvidia 9500GT from my friend.Should i Buy it.The card is in good condition.I have only 1.5GB ram, Is this OK with the card.
My specs,
intel pentium D 925 processor.
INTEL motherboard 945GCCR.
450W psu.
nvidia 7200gs.
Windows 7 ultimate
Also should i uninstall my nvidia drivers before intalling the other cardand its driver?
