Looking for some help with a first time build, more details below. Also sorry about the mess earlier, apparently Toms Hardware doesn't like the older HTML tags.

Approximate Purchase Date: This weekend

Budget Range: Preferably under $1500 but I am flexible

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming (Civilization 5, Skyrim, Battlefield 3, SimCity Deluxe), video streaming, web browsing

Parts Not Required: Keyboard, mouse, monitor

Preferred Website for Parts: Newegg.com

Country: U.S.A.

Overclocking: Yes

SLI or Crossfire: No

Monitor Resolution: I will probably be using a 37" HD LCD tv but may buy a monitor depending on how well the tv works

Below are the parts I plan on ordering. Everything should be compatible but I'm not positive. Any opinions or suggestions on the build would be greatly appreciated.

Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 3000 BX80623I52500K

SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

Antec High Current Gamer Series HCG-750 750W ATX12V v2.3 / EPS12V v2.91 SLI Certified CrossFire Certified 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Corsair Graphite Series 600T CC600TM Mid-Tower Gaming Case

And just so nobody has to mention it, I will be using arctic silver 5. My only other specific question is with regards to hooking it up to the tv. I assume I can just use a regular HDMI cable but if somebody can verify that I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

That's a good build, and everything is compatible. But the graphics card is a bit weak considering the budget.

Check out the builds in my sig. If you have a $1500 budget, you should definitely be looking at a HD7950/HD7970.

My suggestion would be the $1500 build in my sig, with the motherboard, BD drive and case you picked, plus a HD7950 instead of a HD7970.
