First time builder, have the mobo sat out aside with : -ram installed -cpu installed -aftermarket cpu cooler -and psu attached to cpu power/mobo power -vid card installed (vid card is old and doesnt require dedicated power)
everything boots up fine, but for some reason my monitor wont pickup the dvi output from my videocard, my mobo doesnt have onboard video either..
what should i do?
all help is appreciated
ps. my mobo did not come with a speaker....
here are my specs just in case:

More aboutturns monitor doesnt pick signal
First step, acquire a mobo speaker. They are available for 5 bucks. Your computer may be trying to tell you something it cant via beep codes.
2nd.. old video card, are you sure its compatible?
