Using tv as a monitor

i want to use my tv as a monitor
will that damage my computer if i use tv instead of actual monitor?

No, just make sure you have the right connections. I use a Vizio 30 Inch LED tv as my monitor!

Perhaps if the TV is a plasma. try to keep a black background, hide the task bar and move the desktop icons every now and then to prevent image retention or burn in. For LCD and LED TV's (yes i know that LED TV's are really LCD TV's) then it shouldn't be a problem.

I use 3 40" TV's for my current setup. It works as long as you keep the TV's about 4 feet away from you per each lol.

No, there is no chance of damage. It just pass signal from gfx card.
