MacScan?

New user and was looking into the level of additional security I may need. Any advice for a novice Mac user?

  1. It's not all too necessary to have 3rd-party tools for security, but if you want to be cautious, MacScan isn't all that bad, albeit, not free. ClamXav, which is free, would be a good one to install: http://www.clamxav.com/index.php?page=v2beta

Also, read here, which I found to be an insightful post by Klaus1: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa;jsessionid=7099FAC8EE48826ACD03A9C875AA9AB1.node0?messageID=11386804&#11386804
