Upgraded windows 8 but files didn't delete

So I just upgraded to windows 8 and when with the choice of keeping nothing. With that, I thought that this would nearly wipe my SSD. My SSD is a M4 Crucial 128GB and I have 80GB on it already, with the upgrade I thought that it would bring it back down to around 20GB for just the OS. Anyone able to help me clear up some space? Thanks

More about upgraded windows files didn delete
  1. did you format the drive? It only keep nothing of windows, it doesn't delete anything else.
  2. no I didn't format the drive, since I was under the impression that the upgrade would delete everything else. Since I just upgraded, is there a way for me to format the drive and reinstall windows 8 with the upgrade product key?
