I won't be putting together my new system for over a year, probably, but when I do low noise is going to be very important, as it will be the center of an audio recording home studio. Both accoustic noise from things like PS/CPU fans and electrical noise from fans, monitor, etc need to be minimal. Now, i know there are certain fans/cases which are accoustically quieter, but I'm wondering how to lower the electrical noise.

Do lcd monitors produce less interference than CRTs? my monitor now is really the biggest source of interference, so hopefully one can reduce it either with a filter of some kind or a more expensive lcd monitor.

any advice would be interesting. thanks
