Hello,
I've been looking around for computerparts lately and ended up with the next offer:
Sharkoon WPM500 (500W) 44,99
Intel® Core™ i5-2500 184,90
Corsair 8 GB DDR3-1333 Kit 39,99
Club 3D Radeon HD 6450 Noiseless
Edion 39,99
GIGABYTE GA-PA65-UD3-B3 81,90
Western Digital WD10EARX (SATA 600,
1TB) 89,90
Sharkoon Vaya (atx, midtower,
usb3.0) 34,99

total 516,66

this is my first build and would like to be able use this one for a few years and have options for improvement availeble. I'm also thinking of waiting till ivy bridge so the price of sandy wil drop. I'm going to take the dvd reader from my old computer.

Is that Graphics card what you want? Google for a 6770 review or even 6870, but 6450? Also, why i5 and "P" Motherboard? Maybe look into the i3 2100 with a Z68 motherboard. This motherboard would provide an upgrade path. Enjoy!

Change your GPU and PSU.. Go for a HD 6850 at least if you are gaming..

i dont think he nessisarily needs "at least a hd 6850" for gaming.. it dpends on what settings some people dont need everything maxed out on a 30 inch monitor.. there are cheaper ones that could probably do just fine for him. hell even the 6450 is usable for the most part.

have changed some things and I'm now thinking about a HD 7750 and an ashrock p67 pro. I have a 19" screen at the moment

Look about downgrading the i5 to a i3 ivy bridge if you're going to wait, are you going to OverClock? If not downgrade to a i5-2400 and save a few bucks.

I'm probably not going to overclock don't want to risk doing any damage. I'm only 16 and for me it is a lot of money. by the way, thanks for the replies.

here's an update my plans:

OCZ ModXstream Pro 500W € 52.60
Intel® Core™ i5-2500 € 180.80
Seagate Green SATA 1.5TB € 96.20
Sapphire Radeon HD 7750 1GB € 95.90
G.Skill 8GB DDR3 DIMM 1333 MHz € 35.10
Asrock P67 PRO3 SE € 70.70
Sharkoon Vaya Value 36,89
Microsoft OEM Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, SP1 € 82.80
shipping € 4.95

total: 661,14
hardware only: 573,39

I added windows because I'll need to get it any way and this gives a clearer view on the total price.

I'm also thinking about an other monitor but haven't looked for one jet.
