Will amd fx6100 fit in an am3 socket

I am contemplating purchasing an am fx6100 cpu. Will it fit in an AM3 socket (notAM3+)??

Unless you have an ASUS crosshair IV. They're socket AM3 but it does have socket AM3+ support with beta bios. If you don't have that its gonna be new mobo time unfortunately. Why would you want an FX anyway? They're at best only as good as the AM3 Phenom ii's.
