New htpc build to run xbmc

I am building this asap and would like to stay under $350. I have built one previous pc for home use so not a lot of experience.
My media is on a NAS so I do not need a a large hard drive.

Media will consist of mkv and other video formats (primarily ripped dvds & blurays), downloaded & recorded tv, music, photos,

parts not required: mouse keyboard, monitor, speakers, optical drive

Display is 1920x1080 Panasonic AE4000u projector

Parts considering:
Case: Logisys CS308 w/ bi 480w powersupply $37
mobo: Gigabyte H61M-S2h $60 after rebate
CPU:intel i3 2100 LGA1155 $100
HD:WD2500AAKX 250gb SATA 6 $80
RAM:D DR3-1333 4gb $19

TOTAL $296

Any reccomendations would be greatly appreciated. I would like to go with a smaller case

I would take the $50 you are under budget and swap out that case and integrated PSU for a power supply that is a little more reliable. No name brand PSUs are a big no-no if you ask me.

You could also consider getting a small SSD for ~$80 you are spending on a HDD. Since you won't be storing anything on the system really you could gain some performance, potentially save money, and have a quieter system.

u can downgrade the cpu to a pentium g860 or even lower
the diff between i3 2100 and g860 is very less and is faster than amd phenom ii x6 1090t and fx4100.

Since it is a htpc build u cand get amd apus and a smaller cheaper ssd
