hi I have 3 g of ddr3 ram on my p6t deluxe v2.
I want about 12g or 16 g but the seller told me I will have prob to buy that since HE pretends that only TRI chnnel can fit with this mother board. is this right?
HE also said now there is only dua chanell!!

Either he pretends or is just misinformed. The Tri Channel RAM kit for the X58 motherboard is bundled only for convenience & economy. It is also used as a marketing hype saying that it is necessary if you want to overclock because the timings of the RAM's are carefully matched. In truth, any RAM with ideally equal part code (same capacity, speed & timing ) should work even if they do not belong in a Tri Channel kit.

Go for the 3x4gb. I believe this will come out cheaper per GB given the same speed & timing & still leave 3 vacant slots if you want more than 12GB.
Usually I go for corsair or gskill. I have both of them & never had a problem. Try to check what you want. If you have a big CPU cooler, make sure you select only the low profile one to avoid any conflict or obstruction.

The most expensive is the best but I doubt the price justifies the difference. Just go with the one you selected as it seem to fit as shown in link above.

Thx the guy did put the noctua in a vertical position, iprefer in horizontal position(airflow)
