ATI HD 6870 on DG35EC Moother Board

Hello Everyone this is Saranath,

I am planning to buy ATI HD 6870, but will it fit on my board? My Specs are,
4 GB RAM
Core2Duo 2.8ghz
DG35EC MotherBoard

As far PSU is concerned, I am gonna buy Cosair 550W Real Power PSU.

Please help me with this..

Yes it will fit. Your mother board has one PCIe x 16 slot that is all you need.

Thank you DM. What about the CPU, will it affect the performance too much i do Full HD gaming??

You don't want to push it you could bottleneck but again might work just fine you are on the line it could or not. You might want to upgrade to a quad core. Then for sure no bottlenecking. Good luck

I had a e8400 with a ati 4850 worked great until i decided to upgrade to a 6950. With the 6950 I had lower frames than the 4850 and it wasnt the psu i upgrade to a i5 and the frames shot up.
