Hi there,

I just received my new GTX 560 TI from Newegg today. I was eager to put it in, and attempted to do so, but upon power, there was nothing on the screen. The fans did turn on, but nothing else happened. I then realized I foolishly purchased a card that requires 550W, when my PSU is a Corsair 520W (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139001). So - I figured easy solution: I'll get a new PSU. Well unfortunately I worked until later than Best Buy was open (I would order online but I am entirely too impatient), so when I returned home I attempted to put my old 9800 GTX+ back in.

I am now encountering the exact same issue. I removed no extra cords, and I had the computer unplugged each time I added / removed a card. Could the fact that the minimum requirements were not met somehow have damaged my PSU? Or what could be the case? I removed the battery from my mobo to try to and reset BIOs, so we'll see what happens from there.

Any other suggestions?

Strangely I re-inserted the new GTX 560 and it booted... I am getting a new power supply within the next few days (ordered http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817207014). Can this 520W temporarily support the 560?

I repeat, you don't need a new power supply, just make sure you plug each PCIe connector from PSU to graphics from different PSU rail. Your power supply is very high quality, and it is even SLI certified, which means it will run most of single cards with absolutely NO problem, including GTX 560 Ti.
