Ram

Hi, my Motherboard is a ASrock H61m LGA 1155 and my ram is a G.Skill dual kit (2x2) DDR3 1600. My Motherboard memory standard is DDR3 1333/1066 what does this mean? Does it mean DDR3 1600 will just go to default 1333 on bios and not really do anything...? In that case I'll just save $4 dollars and go 1333.

  1. You are right it would run at 1333mhz.
  2. Ok, to pull you to something, why go get more ram that is standard at 1333. when the ram you have will already default at 1333. I mean its just a waste of money to go back and buy more for the same purpose. and your board should support 1600 OC check your motherboard manual again. But no need to get more RAM
