Greetings community, glad to take part in such a productive site!

My old router, though it worked flawlessly for many a year, has fallen victim to a heavy chest being put on it, and now won't even power on. I suspect it is a lost cause, so I'm looking to invest in a new router, hopefully one that can fit the demands the old router could not.

The setup in the house is one of three floors, where the router would be on the 2nd floor. The lowest floor is connected by LAN, and not a problem, but the second and third floors have 3 desktop PCs, a PS3, Wii, and a laptop all vying for power. I would like to be able to get on the HD video streaming bandwagon with this router, to both the PCs and the PS3, while having enough "oomph" to continue to let the other PCs game at will without an interruption of service. However, I have absolutely no idea what modern day routers are capable of such magicks, if any at all.

The sky is the limit as far as price goes, having something that can satisfy the demand will surely be worth every penny. What would Tom's recommend?

I would actually recommand Dlink instead of Linksys.. For my experience, D-link are more reliable and stable then Linksys, even if everyone is sold to linksys. I keep saying D-link have a better customer service and products.

If you have a good budget :

If you have a reasonnable budget:

Both of the routers are design for gaming.

Since I changed my Linksys WRN320N for the D-link 655, my life is much more easier. lol
