Plz suggest

I am upgrading my pc. My current specs are:
Processor : Core 2 quad q6600 8mb cache

motherboard : intel dg33fb ddr2

OS : windows xp sp3

ram : kingston 2gb ddr2

Graphic card : 8600gt 512mb

My planned upgrades are following:

Mobo : Gigabyte ga-x38-ds4 ( a bit confused with ga-x38x-dq6 )

GPU : Ati HIS 6790 1gb ddr5

Ram : Corsair

Power supply: Cooler master 650/750 Watt

My budget is around PKR 35000/- ( nearly $370 )

Don't upgrade the RAM and motherboard. If anything, add another 2GB stick of Kingston RAM. Save that up for a future CPU + motherboard + RAM upgrade. Pointless upgrading to an ancient platform.

Also, a 500W PSU should run that setup easily. You can save a bit there as well.

It is not worth an upgrade for motherboard to keep the same CPU. GPU and a better PSU on the other hand is viable along with more ram.

If you are not in a hurry for upgrade wait for some time and try to increase your budget by around 10,000 and then go for the upgrade then your upgrade should be more future proof.
At present if necessary increase your RAM by adding 2GB only.
