Hello all, with getting a new nvidia gtx550ti I was hoping to replace the PSU as well. Would anyone be able to tell me what PSU would be able to support my graphics card and it's system.

Motherboard: Advent Centurion CQ9204
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 2.50ghz
PSU: ISO (not completely sure what model) 420W
Video Card: ASUS Nvidia GeForce GTX 550Ti
Memory: 6GB

More about nvidia gtx550ti power supply
  1. Any major well known brand (corsair, antec, xfx) power supply of 500w or greater will be fine.
  2. nVidia can :)

    http://www.geforce.com/Hardware/GPUs/geforce-gtx-560ti/specifications

    Thermal and Power Specs:
    Maximum GPU Temperature (in C) 99 C
    Maximum Graphics Card Power (W) 170 W
    Minimum System Power Requirement (W) 500 W
    Supplementary Power Connectors Two 6-pin

    So 500 w for 1st one ..... 670 for two ....assuming not significantly OC'ing the GPU's

XFX is the bargain..... 9.5 jonnyguru performance rating for the 65. 750 and 850

Wanna move to a 10.0 rated unit, the Antec SG / SCP series, Corsair HX series (except the 1000/1050), Seasonic X series
  3. the connector plugs behind the 550 gti are different from what i used to have in my 9500Gt. il need a hdmi cable i guess! but my monitor what about it?
  4. You can use either a mini HDMI or dvi cable.
