Hi, funny, but not really helpful.

Original Poster: There are 'administrative' accounts on a windows system. Some downloads need you to be running as administrator to work because they change things on your system. (Aside: If you are downloading something like a movie and it wants admin access to your PC you should suspect malware)

Suggest you tell us (1) what computer (2) what operating system (3) what exactly you are doing and (4) what exactly is the error message.

Aside, if you go into control panel and look at User Accounts you can tell if you are running as administrator. (if that is even the problem).
