A new VGA card

hi everyone
i want to buy a new VGA card
i will probably buy the AMD Radeon HD 6850
the question is
i have Antec EA-500D GREEN and it's a 500 watt PSU

i don't know if this enough for the card or not
when i searched in the AMD site i found that they recommend a 600 watt PSU and this one isn't in their recommended list
but when i searched here in toms hardware i found that the recommended for this card is 500 watt

so can anyone tell me if i want to buy a new PSU or this one is enough

Antec is a quality brand, so this PSU with definitely be enough. HD 6850 doesn't need 600W, it's just a precaution. Hell, it could run on 430W antec!

6850 is a very power efficient high performance GPU and Antec powersupplys rock for quality for the most part so it all good.

I think you could Crossfire a pair of HD6850 GPUs on a 500W Earthwatts.
Yep, I went to the PSU Calculator at http://www.extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine and used my own system as an example. With an OC'd 970BE, 4xHDD plus a SSD, four fans, etc. I got 497W.
