I think I've finally narrowed my selection down. The PSU has two selections, not sure if one is over kill. Will OC the CPU and GPU, not sure about SLI.

Over all it looks pretty good. The Asus board is great i have one and love it.

Depending on what your doing you could save money dropping to an i5. If its for gaming save the money. If your doing 3d programming stick with the i7.

Would go with the 750w if you plan to SLI 2 560's together someday. Gives you some head room.

You could jump to a 570 if you save the money on the cpu. But keep in mind you need a 850w to sli 2 of those.

Also another thing is keep in mind wireless internet sucks for gaming. Depending on what you do you might notice a good bit of lag. I tried wireless at first for bf3 and it was really laggy. I tried a bunch of different wireless options and got nowhere. After about a month i gave up and ran a cable. If you using this for gaming look into somehow wiring in a ethernet cable. There about $10 on amazon for 100ft. Thats the route i ended up going.

Good idea, and while I do emphasize importance of getting the best GPU you can get - either go with a 7870 or if not, get a good SSD as your boot drive. The 560TI is an excellent choice.

That build looks really good.

750 is overkill for a 560TI, but if you want to SLI it, it is needed.

If gaming is the primary use for this system you don't need a 2600K - drop that to the 2500K and invest the difference in either getting a bigger HD or a good SSD like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148441

I just want to make sure if get a 650W PSU I'll still have headroom to OC the CPU and GPU, but if the 650W is plenty then Ill definitely get that. The more I think about it, I will probably not be doing SLI, since by the time I'd be ready to do that there will be better cards and wont drain the PSU as much. I wont be doing 3D programming; I like to edit videos for a hobby (like Youtube and stuff) and I've read that i7 are good for video editing. However, it's just for fun so I can wait an extra 10 to 15 minutes to encode a video; I just want to make sure it doesn't lag while I'm previewing it. If I can go down on the CPU I'd get the GTX570 (would I need new PSU?).

Would this ASUS GeForce GTX570 be ok for my rig (I'm not planning to do SLi)? Would 650 be enough to OC both the CPU and the GTX570?
I'm also thinking about this card EVGA SuperClocked 012-P3-1573-KR GeForce GTX 570

My Specs Updated: Changed Wireless to USB; going with a GTX 570; trying the TX650W (from what I can deduce, TX650W should be enough to OC a GTX570 GPU and an i7 2600K; changed the RAM to G.SKILL Ares Series (low profile like the Ballistix but cheaper and free shipping). Please let me know if any of this will not work. Thanks.

I'm not sure on your wireless. Someone else will have to answer that one. I wouldn't play games on wireless if someone payed me. Waaay too laggy even on N.

As for the rest it looks like a good solid build. Personally I would go with Win 7 Ult. Gives you more freedom and flexibility. But that's just personal choice.

If you are planning to OC I would suggest getting the 750. Better to have some headroom than risk damaging something with too little power.

I would go with an LG drive instead of the Light-On. Again, personal preference. The LG are made with gears instead of a rubber band to drive the tray, so it won't ever stop opening unless a gear breaks which unless you knock your tower on the floor is pretty unlikely. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827136236

And I agree with the previous posters about going with the i5 2500K. It's plenty fast enough for what you are doing. The i7 is overkill even if you don't OC it. If you wanna OC for fun then save the cash on the chip and get the i5. Then you can OC all you want.

Take that cash you save on the CPU and invest it in a reasonably priced SSD for your OS. If performance is what you want you really need to go with SSD for your OS drive. It will double, at the least, the responsiveness and speed of your computer. I personally have two of them. One for the OS and programs, and one for installed games and all my documents and crap. I find this to run faster than that just one drive. I recommend these SSDs, I have one of each:

I don't have access to a cabled connection of any kind so I'm forced to go with wireless. :(

Thanks, 750 it is.

I didn't know that about Light-On, thanks. The LG you picked doesn't have Lightscribe, do you know a good LG w/Lightscribe or are any LG good?

Well I'm going with the i7 because I want to do some video editing as well as gaming so that was my reasoning for going with a 2600K (not serious video editing; more like YouTube and stuff).

I read somewhere that Win7 also remembers your hardware, so if one installs a new HDD, it will require a new Win 7 licence. I figured I'll upgrade to a SSD and to Win7 Pro (maybe Win8 will be out by then) at the same time then.
