Can I run a SATA 1.5 Gb/s HDD through a SATA 3.0 Gb/s port?

So, I'm looking to build a computer, but want to make it cheap but an upgrade from what I'm using right now (which isn't really too hard) and the HDD I have right now is a SATA 1.5 Gb/s connection, but the motherboard I'm looking at only has SATA 3.0 Gb/s connections. Am I going to run into any problems if I plug the HDD into the SATA port on the motherboard, and if so, are there simple fixes?

it should Work depends on your motherboard check with your mobo manufacture you just want get the 3.0 speeds tell you upgrade to a 3.0 in also Search google too

SATA is backwards compatible so you will have no problems.
