Hey, quick question just wondering if a i5-650 can go into this Motherboard Asrock H61M/U3S3 because its not on the cpu compatibility list?

If u can get a core i3-560 for cheaper, the forget that i5, its a complete waste of money :)

Both of them are the exact same chip, with clock speeds so extremely close to each other, even considering Turbo boost!!!

Core i3 -> Max sustained 3.33 GHz
Core i5 -> Max sustained 3.20 GHz, but can turbo to 3.46 for a short while :)

See for urself :)

the i5 650 won't go into the asrock h61 motherboard because it is not compatible with the motherboard's socket, hence it is not on the compatibility list. besides, if the cpu's not on the compatiblity list, it's because it won't fit.
i5 650 is an lga 1156 cpu i.e. it fits on motherboards that has 1156 pin sockets.
asrock h61 has lga 1155 socket i.e. it's socket has 1155 pins. as you can see, it is physically impossible to fit the lga 1156 cpu (i5 650) on the lga 1155 socket (h61).
asrock h61 supports cpus that are compatible with lga 1155 socket e.g. sandy bridge celeron/pentium/core i3/i5/i7 cpus and ivy bridge cpus (after appropriate bios update).
always check the motherboard's cpu compatibility list for compatible cpus.
