right so i have a bootable usb with ubuntu 11.10 installed on it and i am having a problem now. i can boot the drive from my laptop, my friends laptop, and my friends desktop but not my newly built desktop. it really odd. i set the bios to search the flash drive first and it will recognize it and start the boot process but as the lines of code run down my screen there is a part where it just hangs and wont boot... its a rather odd problem and its rather annoying since i use that flash drive pretty often to use ubuntu. any help is appreciated :D

btw im using an asus p8z68-v pro/gen 3 board with an i7-2600k if that helps

Check your bios settings, you may have USB boot disabled, should be a separate option to the boot order. Just double check it.
