Hi everybody, today i just want to ask you guys if i should just upgrade my per-built now, or wait and build a new one.
Thanks

-Jason

Okay so the current pre-built i have is an Acer aspire m5461.

Here are the specs (that I know if):

Processor: core 2 quad q6600 @2.4 GHz
Ram: 4 GB 2x2 ddr2
Graphics card: nvidia 7100/630i (integrated)
PSU: stock 300W

I'm not sure if that's all you need, so here are the screenshots from CPU-Z:

I was thinking of upgrading my integrated graphics and psu, what do you guys think?

Oh yea, my budget is around $80.

All of your hardware is pretty old. If you only have 80 bucks then maybe a cheap GPU upgrade but even with that I am not sure what you will be able to run. If you get to much of an upgrade on a GPU you may bottle neck or need more power for a power supply.

What games are you wanting to play?

well i'm into Minecraft, WoW, Dead Island, Skyrim etc.

I was thinking of buying my friends 4870 + 400W psu for 80 bucks? Is that a good deal?

Well you can not get a 4870 except for ebay and one is going for 80 bucks. It would definitely increase your FPS. What brand is the PSU? its a decent deal and you can play minecraft for sure. As to playing wow dead island and Skyrim, well I dont think you will be maxing the graphics on most games with this upgrade.

I Would say if you can, Save up for a while and Build a new PC if you want to get the most out of your money. That would just be me though. There are some great 500 dollar builds out that if you can save that much.
