it does pretty much suck, how much we pay over here for some of our gear, even with the dollar at parity (or BETTER) !

Here is the 7970 at $695 - slightly better ( again, pre-order), but yeah, still a lot dearer than the US.

Might be worth buying online from there and shipping with insurance....
