Hyper 212 EVO - How to check genuine or not for Coolermaster product

I have ordered a Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO from a ebay seller. I have heard that there are a lot of chinese lookalikes for the 212 EVO.
Can I register the Hype 212 EVO in coolmaster's product registration site*, with the serial code from the heatsink, and if it accepts the serial code does it prove that the product is genuine?

Got my EVO. The serial code was on the fan only. Registered it on CoolerMaster's website. Thanks guys.
Btw, coolermaster has changed the way the fan's hooked to the heatsink. Previously it was using metal hinges. Now it's using a plastic frame that's attached to the fan. The metal clips was a lot better. The plastic frame looks flimsy to detach in case you want to flip between push-pull config.
