i was wondering how this build would preform on graphic intensive games like Battlefield 3, Crysis, etc. The specs are -
- Intel i5 2500k at 3.3 ghz
- HIS Radeon HD 6870
- 1TB Seagate Barracuda HDD
Any help is appreciated :)

Well You would be able to run everything on High atleast. If you overclock your GPU you will might be able to get ultra settings. ( this is all on BF3). Crysis should run max. also I am assuming the HDD is 7200 speed so that is pretty decent. SSD are nice for games for loading information, but besides that these upgrades should help a lot. What are the full Specs of the build you have? I would like to make sure you have a good enough PSU motherboard etc. You will love that 2500k ^_~.

my overclocked 6850 will run BF3 with all High and some Ultra settings with around 25-45 FPS. NO its not ultra but still very nice. the 6870 has more overclocking headroom so he might get close to all Ultra settings.

If anything maybe if it is in your budget get a 6950, or a 7870 which runs very cool and many are claiming to OC their 7870s to almost compete with a GTX 580

The PSU is a Corsair Enthusiast Series TX650, and the motherboard is a Gigabyte Z68A-D3H-B3 Intel Z68 motherboard.
I have a OCZ 120gb Vertex plus SSD as well.

OK that is is some very good hardware and should handle everything at stock. I would suggest the 6870 for the best price/performance. You can Also Crossfire later if you feel you need to in the future with two cards running at x8 which is good. If your ok with not having MAX graphics with 1000 FPS this build will work well.

It looks like the cheapest 6870 right now is a Sapphire Brand which is a well used GPU

This Twin frozer ii is a great 6870 GPU if you want better cooling for OCing for 20 bucks more

xtremegamer2d says "yeaaaahh suuuurree..... a 6870 will like max out bf3... NOT!"
I went back to look at some of your posts and realized that if you don't have something useful to say - please don't. You asked questions as if you have a computer already when in fact you just seem to be window shopping.

bkshizzle- tell us what your budget is so that we can actually make some good recommendations. The new AMD cards do look pretty nice and efficient but unless you give us a dollar value.....
