Battlefield 3 6850 vs 6850 crossfire

hello! my current specs are i7 950 6gb ram and single 6850 gpu and 850w psu. i play bf3 on high settings on 1080p 27inch monitor. if i buy another 6850 gpu will i see big difference in performance in game or is there not a big difference between single 6850 and 6850 crossfire? thank u in advance!

crossfire vs no crossfire is test on ultra settings?

Almost all modern games that support crossfire (or SLI) are likely to see 60-100% improvement vs a single card.

I know the above is BFBC2 but the scaling will be very similar in BF3. (almost 100%)

Yes, but it'll still be better than a single 6850 and a cheaper upgrade than a new, better card.

That looks like vsync's off, which is giving you the tearing. It's awfully hard to represent an fps issue with a 30fps-locked Youtube clip, though.

I might be crossfiring 6850s soon, on x8/x8 with a i5 2500k. Do you highly recommend this setup? Any games in particular gave you trouble?

Allow me please help me on this one, micro-stuttering? How is this exactly? Reason why I ask is because I am thinking to get the same card for CSF.

8x8 is more than enough bandwidth I just had problems with the 6870s themselves producing the microstutter although I know longer own them and cannot attest to the current driver situation

Toms still warns a rec against 68(7)0 crossfire due to the inherent microstutter.
