Hey Guys. As the title says, i am pretty confused as of which of the three processors will perform the best. I will mainly be gaming and such. I am on a budget of 923 dollars.

The Fx 8120 costs about 200 dollars, Fx 6200 costs 198 dollars and the i5 2310 costs 219 dollars.
If i choose the 8120/6200, i could save some money and buy 8 gigs of ram, instead of 4 gigs if i buy i5 2310.

Fx 8120/6200 build would look like this. i5 2310 build
Motherboard: Asrock 970 extreme4 Motherboard: Asrock z68 gen3 pro3
Processor: Fx 8120/Fx6200 Cpu: i5 2310
Gpu: Club3d radeon HD 6950 Gpu: The same as amd build
PSU: Club3d 600 wats 80+ Psu: The same as amd build
Hdd: 500gb seagate barracuda. Hdd: The same as amd build
Ram: 8gb Corsair 1333MHz Ram: 4gb corsair 1333Mhz

So what i am basically asking you guys is, which system would perform the best?
Intel system would cost 50 dollars more, but is it worth? How much of a performance increase would i get?
And how about the Fx 8120 and Fx 6200? Which of the two processors perform the best in gaming?

All help is appreciated as i am quite confused :)

if i were building new, i would go intel. but MOST of the time, FPS is determined primarily by the GPU, and therefore buying an AMD 4/6/8 core for less money will suit just fine, investing the extra money in the GPU. Some games do see a meaningful difference between AMD and Intel, and in those cases, it's typically Intel that pulls ahead.

if there's a budget issue and you're primarily gaming, drop the proc to an i3, maybe later upgrade to an i5 if you need it.

So the Fx 6200 is a good option? But what about the Fx 8120? Wouldn't it perform better? It almost costs the same?

Well, if the i5 2310 is the better option, even though it costs more i am gonn go for that then. I just don't want a i3 since it dualcore. I'd like this build to be futureproof, atleast 2 years. Won't the Fx series be able to do that?
