New laptop w/ win7- bloatware

Hey gang. If I am asking in the wrong forum- I apologize. Please direct me to where I should ask.

I just got an Acer Aspire 5739g laptop from newegg and am getting ready to rock and roll with it. It's my first go at a laptop that I have purchased for myself. I read in the reviews that there was a ton of bloatware on it.... I've been able to see some of it and remove trial versions of thing but my question is this-

Whats the best way to tell if something is useless or if it is needed by the system? I know enough to keep the things labled 'driver' but thats about it.

Try PCDecrapifier. It's free for home use, and will remove the worst and most common bloatware. Then run CCleaner to remove junk files and registry entries.
