Approximate Purchase Date: A month or two

Budget Range: £1500 willing to push it to £1800 but prefer it to be lower

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Video Rendering and photo Editing, Programming, Web surfing and college work

Parts Not Required:Keyboard, Mouse

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Aria.co.uk Novatech.co.uk Overclockers.co.uk Ebuyer.co.uk

Country: United Kingdom

Parts Preferences: Preferably a nice looking case, 24" or higher monitor

Overclocking: Basic low end overclocking

SLI or Crossfire: More than likely in the future

Monitor Resolution: I have an old VGA 19" monitor which is why I would like a 24" or higher but not over 27"

Additional Comments: I would prefer a case with a window and high airflow,

Here are the components I have already picked.

Right so I didn't mention a case as I am looking for input on a nice looking case preferably with a window but can live without and hight airflow.

The other thing I am sceptical about is for my purposes (eg. Gaming as well as video rendering etc.) would I be better off with a intel core i7 3820 quad core ( https://www.aria.co.uk/SuperSpecials/Intel+Core+i7-3820... )
or with the AMD FX 6 Core or Eight Core Processor?

Thanks in advance Mac

I did a PC with 2600k , is the best for video rendering.

Even if you Cf the 7970, 1050W is way overkill. 850W is good enough.
