Keyboard problem

Good day.
I seem to have stumbled across an odd problem, my computer refuses to start-up while the keyboard is connected, showing me a black screen when i boot it up. After removing the keyboard my computer booted up perfectly, I got reduced to the on-screen keyboard though.
Did my keyboard break down or did something else happen?
