to any knowledgeable person,
i'm going to be in japan in september and i'm wanting to buy a cool
phone over there. my question is, will it work in the u.s. (seattle)?
i know that now att offers 3g service in seattle now but if i put in
the gsm sim card that i currently have from att into a phone purchased
in japan will it work here? i think i know the answer but i'm hoping
to hear different. anyone know about this?
thanks,
yuuki

If that phone supports GSM 800 or GSM 1900, it will work in USA. Japan's
WCDMA is probably different than USA's. The chance
is slim.
